Samsunneo Abiodun Olugbenga Osungbohun was born on January 1. He obtained his school certificate (O/L) from Ifewara High School, Ifewara; Advanced Level certificate from the defunct Oyo State College of Arts and Science, Ile-Ife; First degree (Sociology and Anthropology), and second degree (M.B.A.) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He joined the services of the National Population Commission in January 1990 as Statistician 11, and has risen to the position of Deputy Director. He is currently the Head of Census Department (HOD Census) in the Osun State office of the Commission. He has at various times served as Comptroller in Obokun/Oriade, Ila, Odo-Otin and Osogbo L G.As. in Osun State. He has occupied, and still occupies various positions as a Community Leader, which include Chairman Electricity and Security Committees of Oke-Arungbo Community, Osogbo, and Chairman, Osogbo branch of Ibokun Development Association until he voluntarily bowed out of the post when he became the main representative of Ibokun in Ijesa Development Council (IDC). He got elected to the office of the Social Secretary of Mr. Supo Shadiya-led maiden executive committee of IDC. He is also the Secretary of land and peace Committees of Ibokun Community. Rev. Gbenga Osungbohun is an ordained minister of New Covenant Church Worldwide, and the Minister-in-Charge of Ofatedo Center of the church. He is also the Treasurer and a member of Administrative council of Osogbo Conference of the church, consisting of 25 satellite centers. He is married to Comfort Mojisola Osungbohun (Nee Asaolu), who retired as a Permanent Secretary/Tutor General in the employ of Osun State Government. The union is blessed with four children (2 girls and 2 boys).
